African Studies Association 2025 Annual Meeting

MSU Press will be attending the 2025 annual meeting for the African Studies Association (ASA) in Atlanta, Georgia on November 20-22, 2025. Books on African studies will be presented and a discount of up to 30% will be available for featured conference titles

MSU Press would also like to congratulate MSU Distinguished Professor Nwando Achebe on being named Vice President-Elect of the African Studies Association for 2025! Professor Achebe will transition into the role of President in 2026, and Past President in 2027. Alongside being a Distinguished Professor at Michigan State University, Professor Achebe is the the founding editor-in-chief for the Journal of West African History, which recently celebrated its ten year anniversary.
