Terms of Agreement

You as author(s) hereby grant, assign, and transfer to the Press all non-exclusive rights to publish and distribute the Article as a part of the Work in all countries, in all languages, and in all mediums.
You as author(s) represent and warrant that the Article does not infringe on subsisting copyrights or other rights of any kind, and that the Article contains no material that is obscene, libelous, or otherwise in contravention of the law. You further warrant that: A.) the Article has not been published previously in whole or in part; or, B.) that if the Article has been published previously in whole or in part, permission has been obtained to reprint the said material from the appropriate holders of copyrights. In this latter case, you will provide the Press with this written permission.
You as author(s) will indemnify and hold the Press and the Work harmless against any loss, including attorneys’ fees, occasioned by any breach of warranties outlined above in paragraph two.
You as author(s) agree to make changes to the Article you have already delivered to the Press in order to bring it into conformity with the Work’s style and format.
The Press retains the right to republish the Article in whole or in part of the Work at such time or times as it shall determine.
You as author(s) also have a right to reprint, with prior permission, the Article in any bona fide scholarly publication. This right is subject only to the stipulation that credit be given to the Article’s prior publication in the Work. The credit must state that the Work is published by Michigan State University Press.
