John H. Hartig Speaks at Lakeside Chautauqua on Lake Erie
John H. Hartig, Refuge Manager, Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge, will speak on “Bringing Conservation to Cities.” Hartig is the John Muir Conservationist of the Year , and the Michigan Nature Association’s 2016 Edward G. Voss Conservation Science Award recipient. He is the author of Bringing Conservation to Cities: Lessons from Building the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge.
Lakeside Chautauqua is located on the Marblehead Peninsula, halfway between Toledo and Cleveland on Lake Erie’s south shore. For more than 140 years, Lakeside Chautauqua has welcomed families to the Lake Erie shore to take part in a summer Chautauqua experience.
