Paul L. Dressel (1910-1989) served at Michigan State College and Michigan State University. He was distinguished Professor for the College of Education, established the Office of Institutional Research, and was first Director of the MSU Counseling Center. Dressel helped establish the first student counseling center at MSU after World War II. He authored several books and publications, including College To University: The Hannah Years at Michigan State, 1935-1969, and co-authored or edited several books in the areas of evaluation, curriculum development, and institutional research.
